Jay & Chloe
Jay asked Chloe to marry him at the Japanese Garden in the Fort Worth Botanic Garden on a crisp early winter morning.
Chloe thought they were taking Christmas photos, one of their favorite yearly traditions. What she didn't know was that this year, Jay had secretly planned every detail of this morning's proposal, and this day would be the beginning of their forever together.
The Japanese Garden was especially beautiful that day, with golden-yellow leaves providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
While walking along the paths toward the proposal location near the garden entrance, we came across something we didn't anticipate: another couple in their proposal process! Chloe was moved by the moment, smiling as she took in its beauty, having no idea that her proposal was just minutes away.
By the time we arrived at the selected location, Jay was prepared. To get them in the mood, I proposed a playful back-to-back stance to relax them into the moment. Chloe turned around first, expecting a lighthearted photo prompt, but upon turning back, she was met with Jay on one knee, ring in hand. Her response was immediate. Shock, followed by happiness, a beaming smile and a tearful "YES!"
The moment was intimate and profoundly personal, and the golden leaves and gentle morning light added to its subdued beauty. Afterward, we stayed close to the garden entrance, taking additional photos.
Chloe couldn't stop grinning as she gazed at her ring, the reality of the moment sinking in. The calm and quiet atmosphere, wood bridges, and curving natural trails provided a gorgeous backdrop for their first photos as a soon-to-be-married couple.

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden has long been one of my favorite and, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful photography locations in DFW. The meticulously crafted landscape, constantly evolving seasonal beauty, and private areas make it a fabulous location for proposals, engagement shoots and weddings!

Jay and Chloe, thank you for letting me be part of such an important day. Wishing you both the best as you begin this new chapter together!
