Tips To Help You Enjoy Your Photoshoot

Trust is the key ingredient to any relationship. This is also very true when it comes to the relationship you have with your wedding vendors, especially with your wedding photographer. There's a reason you chose your photographer to document one of the most important days of your entire life!

While you and your partner may have a vision of how you want some of your images to turn out, for the most part, you are going to have to put a lot of trust in your photographer.

Fully trusting your photographer will not only result in better images, it will also relieve a lot of the stress of the day.

1. Choosing Locations

It's super important that you trust your wedding photographer with choosing the best locations for portraits.

Photographers always take time to familiarize themselves with your reception location or areas around your ceremony site to find the best places to photograph. We are always looking for the best light!

Being open to suggestions and willing to compromise goes a long way!

2. Time of Day to Shoot

Lighting is key to creating beautiful images! Using natural light (at the right times of the day) will produce the best lighting setting.

It's important to know that not every time of the will give you the same results.

Your photographer will know what time of day will be best to take those gorgeous outdoor shots that won't leave harsh shadows on your face or when to sneak outside to take some night inspired shots.

3. Poses

Trust your photographer to know the most flattering poses for you.

We pay attention to different things that non-photographers may not have top of mind. We can see how the light is illuminating, how shadows and highlights hot different areas of the frame and things in the background that not everyone may notice.

I always appreciate your picture ideas, but please don't be offended if they don't work out as you hoped for! I promise I'll try my best and offer alternatives that can meet us both halfway!

4. Editing Your Photos

The most important thing (I'm my view) is trusting your photographer’s creative eye during the editing process.

They will know which images will look best in black and white, color, cropped, etc. For many of us, the editing process is a part of our style and we pride ourselves on our expertise. In many cases, editing style is one of the main reasons a photographer is hired.

Please trust your photographer's skills and be rest assured that they will deliver galleries full of stunning images!

Trust is incredibly important in all relationships.

When clients bring me onboard, one of my main priorities is building trust and a sense of comrade ring between us. I want you to be comfortable and know that I am there to serve you in the best way I possibly can!

As always, I hope these tips help you in your wedding planning process! Happy wedding planning!
