HELICOPTER RIDE ENDS IN PERFECT PROPOSAL

When Thomas and Nermine won a charity prize—a ride on the Fort Worth Police Department helicopter—Thomas saw it as the perfect opportunity for a surprise proposal. After he contacted me, we came up with a plan and let me tell you, it was such a special and unique surprise!

As the couple arrived at the airport, I hid in an office to keep things extra secret! Thomas took to the sky first. I'm sure he took that time to practice his proposal speech one last time. After he landed, it was Nermine's turn to take off.

As soon as I lost sight of the helicopter, I emerged from my hiding place and greeted Thomas. After a quick hello, he showed me the gorgeous ring he had kept for a while, waiting for the perfect moment to propose. About 15 grueling minutes later, the helicopter began approaching its landing spot. As the blades slowed, Thomas made his way closer to the chopper. When Nermine stepped out of the aircraft, Thomas gently took her hand. They both took a few steps, and it was time! Thomas knelt and proposed, to Nermine's surprise. I quietly snapped photos, capturing every moment of her surprise and joy.

After giving them a few moments to take it all in, it was time to go into photoshoot mode! After the proposal, we had the chance to take some stunning portraits in the hangar, where the pristine white walls and gorgeous soft light created an intimate and unique photo spot. One of my favorites to date!

Next, we made our way to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden for a celebratory stroll. The lush greenery and peaceful atmosphere were a perfect contrast to the adrenaline-filled proposal. Nermine was still glowing with happiness, and Thomas couldn’t stop smiling. The garden provided a beautiful, romantic backdrop for more portraits as the couple soaked in the joy of their newly engaged status.

Nermine later shared the sweetest review:

“Elizabeth is the perfect photographer! She is patient and kind. We went to two different locations and went over our time, but yet she was patient. We took our pictures at the Botanic Garden on a hot day, and she walked all over with us with patience and a smile. She made us laugh so much and made our whole picture experience fun overall! She will be my forever photographer for her patience and kindness. It’s very difficult to find someone who can make you laugh and just make your pictures fun overall.”

It was such an honor to photograph this engagement, and I’m so grateful to have been a part of this special and unforgettable day!

Thomas and Nermine,

Thank you again for sharing this wonderful moment with me!
