Bailey & Jorge

I am so happy and excited to share this engagement session with all of you!

I had the pleasure of photographing Bailey and Jorge the last week of May. This was a very special session for me because it was the first time I photographed people since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and this was also the first session I've shot as digital and film hybrid shooter.

Bailey and Jorge are the sweetest and we had a blast. The session took place at the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, where we met at sunrise. Waking up so early was worth it!

Please enjoy Bailey and Jorge's love story and their beautiful photos.

How did you two first meet?

Bailey: "We met in a campus ministry at UNT. He didn't know I existed at the time (though he will deny it for the rest of his life). I came back from a really rough winter break, after ending a relationship and he called that night noticing that something had been wrong at a campus get together prior that day. Weeks later we were talking more and he actually broke my heart telling me he just wanted to be friends. That got fixed days later and the next thing I knew spring break came and he asked me on our first date. He didn't give me a chance to say no. It was the first time that someone had spoiled me so much and was interested in hearing my hopes and dreams for the future. I'm so glad he didn't give me a chance to say no."

Obligatory mask photos!

When did you get engaged and how?

Bailey: "We got engaged March 6. 2020. Jorge planned for 2 weeks with explicit details. He took me out on a date to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. He had one of our best friends from the campus ministry we're apart of take surprise pictures of the engagement. He had some of our close friends hiding until he got down on one knee (For the record, I didn't suspect anything until the end). When he popped the question and I said 'yes', our friends and family that had been hiding came out to congratulate us. We spent some time with them for a bit before Jorge took me on a romantic dinner to celebrate."

These two images are from the moment I told Jorge I wasn't sure I could trust him anymore. This comment came after he confessed he was an Android phone user. lol

Bailey said she was on team iPhone, too. We all agreed that no one is perfect. I'm glad we're all on the same page, but I've got my eye on you buddy! Hahaha.

Jorge and Bailey, I can't wait to photograph your wedding this winter! Thanks again for allowing me to join you in this special season of your life.

xoxoxo,

-Elizabeth
